The Producer (...Continued)

After receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree in mass communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 1993, Shari moved to the Minneapolis area where she worked in the video field for 10 years. As the Traffic Manager at Ascent Media in Minneapolis from 1997 - 2003, Shari managed the schedule for the studio, satellite earth station, and interconnect of fiber and microwave paths. Coordinating space segments, the uplink truck, and transmission for four major sports franchises was an integral part of this position.

Shari also kept busy honing her video production skills replaying highlights of NBA, WNBA, NHL, and college sporting events for live television broadcasts and the video scoreboard feeds at the Target Center in Minneapolis and Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

After moving to Bismarck in June of 2003, Shari started her own video production company called The Memory Preserve. Shari truly feels she is doing what she is meant to do.

"I've learned so much just by listening to people's stories. Many of them had very little money and few possessions when they were growing up, yet were happy just being with family and friends. Quite possibly even 'happier back then,' as one client stated. Some of them have experienced tough times but are here today and happy and thankful for their wonderful lives. They're truly an inspiration and I am lucky to have the opportunity to listen and learn from each of their stories."
